In-game name: Vangear
Class: Warrior
Talent spec (a link of some sort would be nice):
Explain your talent spec, why you use, what it is good for etc:
For a fury warrior 17/44 is pretty much the standard and probably most effective spec for dps. That being said, I'm not using it simply because it's what every fury warrior and his wife is using. I've experimented with a few different specs to see if it improves anything; eg going further into arms to get Deathwish and/or the various weapon specialisations, even a fully 2h fury spec. But in the end I've found this to be the most effective, though with the addition of Piercing Howl (mainly for PvP use).

Are you willing to modify/change your spec entirely?
I'm always willing to flip between dps and tanking specs or fury to arms, and as such have tried to gather gear so that I can fit any role. (Never leave the house without my sword and board Very Happy ). I enjoy playing pretty much any/every role a warrior, possibly the reason I've had the patience to lvl one twice.

What is your motivation to join Serial Chillers?
As the guild name suggests, and having read the stickies on the forum, it's seems to me you're a relaxed and laid-back guild, but not one that lacks motivation. Also because it also seems you understand that this is a game and that people have lives outside of it. And lastly, you've got a good sense of humour, from what I've read on the Off-topic forum. (I'm a nosy bugger at times Razz )

What former guilds have you been in? Why did you leave?
On this character I've only ever been in CC. The reason I want to leave is nothing to with the people, but more because of late it seems any motivation they had is gone, and not for lack of effort on the leaderships part. We've downed Gruul enough and making good progress through ZA, but when it comes to the bigger raids (T5+ etc) the guilds enthusiasm just plummets. Had a pop at Maggy and a brief but great trip to Hyjal, an I enjoyed them both. And it's this taste of the end game which has led me to the decision to leave.

As this isn't the first time I've lvled a warrior to 70 however. I tried to quit playing once, and consequently deleted my old warrior under the same name (I even went as far as snapping the TBC disk and made a random password to "try" and make sure I wouldn't come back).
So on the old Vangear I'd been in VVV, and then Behemoth. I failed my trial with VVV mainly because frankly I was still a bit of a newbie. Having learnt from the mistakes, I joined Behemoth as a dps/off-tank. Unfortunately they broke apart due to some fairly petty drama (anyone around that long ago probably remembers the lovely soul called Jybcrusader :/ ). And after they fell apart I decided to quit. 3 Weeks later, came back and started lvling as a big, blue, moustached and tentacled draenei.

What is your age? 21
Where are you from? UK - Born in London and raised in Brum (Birmingham)
Do you smell really bad? After a long day of trying not to slap customers round the head for sheer bloody minded stupidity... Yes...
Do you have Ventrilo 3.0? Not at the moment, but will DL asap.
Do you have a microphone? That I do, but do you really want a Brummy-Cockney talking on Vent? Razz

We raid four (4) days a week from 20.00 to 23.00 server time. What days are you able to come along (yes? no? maybe?)

Monday: Yes
Wednesday: Yes
Friday: Maybe (I like to go out and get hammered every so often when I've the weekend off)
Sunday: Yes

Have you read the Serial Chillers rules and agreed to them?
Yes

Here are a few questions aimed specifically at applying DPS classes

What is your average DPS in a raid? (WWS logs to back this up is very much appreciated)
Unfortunately having not raided in a while (WWS only keeps reports for 15 days Sad ), I can't give any reports. My dps on a single mob/boss is usually between 550-650dps depending on buffs etc. In encounters like Illhoof, it's nearer 1000dps, as I'm using Sweeping Strikes, WW and Cleave to control the number of imps (this also means I've got Victory Rush up nearly constantly so a second Bloodthirst for all accounts).

What other than DPS can your class bring to a raid?
Apart from the 2 group shouts and Bloody Frenzy if/when specced for it, I can off-tank. As I've said, I always have my sword and shield on me, and in raids I tend to bring my tanking gear on the off-chance I'm needed.
Admittedly warriors aren't exactly the most raid-utility driven of classes.

And of of couse, a good sense of humour and a friendly and helpful attitude. Very Happy

What do you do to maximize your damage during a raid?
Pot/elixer/flask/food-buff myself up to the eye balls. Usually Major Elixers of Agility and Fortitude or Flask of Relentless Assault, Spicy Hot Talbuk for the extra +hit and I've been experimenting with Haste pots to see if the dps gained is worth the cost. Other than that I make sure I've atleast 2 stacks of HP pots and bandages (dead dpsers don't do any dps after all). I make sure I read up on boss/mob encounters so I'm not surprised by anything they throw at me.

What experience of damage dealing do you have in TBC and Pre-TBC instances?
Pre-tbc I've experience dpsing as Arms spec in MC through to Twin Emperors in AQ40. TBC I've only raid experience in KZ, ZA and Gruul, but as both dps and tank.

Tell us a little something about yourself.
And now the hard bit. Put simply I'm a friendly and helpful bloke. Will always lend a hand if I'm free. As for RL, I've a lovely and fulfilling job selling furniture in a dept store (too much sarcasm?), and I'm planning on returning to college to study art in September. Yes I'm one of those arty farty sods, but don't let that put you off Razz. I'm fairly laid-back about everything, but that's not to say lazy or unmotivated. I just don't think stressing over things will get you anywhere, if anything it tends to cloud my judgement.

Anyway, Wall Of Text /off

Laters Very Happy
