SERIAL CHILLERS RULES Empty
PostSubject: SERIAL CHILLERS RULES   SERIAL CHILLERS RULES Icon_minitimeSun 16 Mar - 19:13

This post contains all general and raid specific rules for Serial Chillers. You will also find a guide to our DKP system.

General guild rules

Leadership

*Serial Chillers are lead by our Guild Master and a crew of Officers. These people are the ones responsible for the path the guild takes and rules the guild is using. However the members will be consulted on any major decisions that we feel will massively affect the structure/running of the guild.

*Officers are responsible for recruitment and making sure there is good teamwork and a high skill level in their respective class. Any questions about the guild, raids or other things should be directed to them first.

Trial Members

*New players in Serial Chillers are regarded as on a trial membership for a initial period of variable length.

*During this period a trial member will have to sign and attend a few raids (that's the only way we can judge how you perform in our team) and will earn an equal amount of DKP to full members - HOWEVER when items drop, priority goes: Member main specc > Member off spec and trialists > alts

Alts

*You may only have 2 alts in Serial Chillers.

*We would like you to sign for raids with your main, but feel free to mention if you have an alt ready for the instance at hand (gearwise, attunementwise). That way we get more options to balance a raid.

*Alts earn the same amount of DKP as members but the DKP is locked to the alt, unless the alt is requested to raid by an officer - in which case dkp can be added to the main character instead.

*Alts are last on the priority list when it comes down to dropped items.

*It is ok to raid with other guilds/PuG's with your alt - BUT! Do this reasonably, for example: Your main is a mage, your alt is a prot warrior. 3 mages are already signed for a raid, but only one tank. This is where you can chose to sign your alt instead of your main, to add to increased class balance and make everyone a lot happier.

Leaving the guild and rejoining

*Supposing for some reason you decide that you want to leave the guild and /gquit but then a few weeks later want to rejoin then if you are allowed to rejoin you will be joining as a trial member and all your old DKP rewards will be reset to 0. Remember that the grass isn't greener on the other side!

*If you are found to have made an application to another guild while still in Serial Chillers you will be removed as it is assumed that you no longer wish to be a part of Serial Chillers.

How does the Guild make money?

*All green and blue items that drop in raids will be gathered and sold on either AH/to vendor or disenchanted depending on item unless a player really wants that item.

*Sometimes the guild will craft items and sell them on AH - Money gained from this will go to the guildbank and pay for items we need from AH or that we need to buy from other guilds for specific encounters.

*All recipes that are BoE that drop in raids are sold on the AH unless it is an upgrade for one of our players.

Serial Chillers raiding rules and guide lines

DKP System

Raids

Instances will earn you the following amount of DKP:

Karazhan/ Zul'Aman = 0 DKP Master looter with /roll

25 man instances = Zero Sum Silent Bid system.
+5 DKP for a guild first kill.

Overall Guidelines

*Be sure you know your DKP points total before entering a raid!

*Your DKP for an instance can be found by clicking on "Standings" on the left hand side and then using the drop down menu to select the instance.

DKP Bidding

*We operate a closed bidding system for items in a raid. You can only use the DKP you had when the raid started. You can't bid using the DKP for the bosses you have killed in the present raid.

*There are no limits as to how much DKP you may earn or how much you want to spend when bidding on a item.

*There is a minimum bid of 20DKP during the first round of bidding, and 10DKP during the second round of bidding.

1)ML (master looter) announces items dropped and then links the item that will be bid on, and who to whisper with your bids (keep an eye out as it will not always be the ML - this is to keep bidding fair on items that the ML might plan to bid on themselves).
2)People /whisper the ML (or other player) with their bids for that linked item when prompted.
3)Winner for that item is then finalised and announced to raid.
4)ML moves onto next item.
5)ML hands out items once all items have been bid on.

The person who places the highest bid will receive the item for the second highest bid +1 - no matter what they bid themselves, this is to prevent disproportionate bids related to the items perceived value. The ML will keep silent on how many other bids were made and how high they were. (Take into account that each raid will on average reward around 40DKP if you keep to the rules.) The only thing the ML announces is who won the item, and for how much DKP.

NOTE: You may only bid once on an item so make sure you decide how much you think it is worth before bidding.

Example:
Quote:
Quote :
[Raid] [Madamebush]: [Cowl of the Grand Engineer] -- Whisper me bids!
[Sharida] whispers: I'll bid 20 DKP
[Erot] whispers: I really need that, 100 DKP!
[Sorcerezz] whispers: 25 DKP

[Raid][Madamebush]: CLOSING BIDS!!!!
[Raid][Madamebush]: 5
[Raid][Madamebush]: 4
[Raid][Madamebush]: 3
[Raid][Madamebush]: 2
[Raid][Madamebush]: 1
[Raid][Madamebush]: Erot won the item for 26 DKP!

Erot receivtes loo: [Cowl of the Grand Engineer].

*Should 2 or more players bid an equally high amount for an item they /roll for it and the highest roller wins the item for the DKP they bid. Alternatively the players may come to an agreement themselves over who will receive the item.

Negative DKP

*You can only bid if you have positive DKP. People on negative DKP cannot bid on items until they earn the DKP back.

*You may be forced to go into negative DKP if you gain an item due to no one else wanting it and the raid leaders do not want the item to be disenchanted but don't feel you should receive the item for free. This is the only way it is possible to enter negative DKP. You may not bid again until your DKP is positive.

Selling a DKP won item

You may never sell a item won by DKP or /roll during a Serial Chillers raid!

DKP Penalties

I joined the raid but did not get full DKP !!!112

Reasons why this has happened to you:

*Showing up late or not at all, joining mid raid or leaving early. If you completely miss a raid without a valid reason you will receive -40 DKP (the DKP value of the raid). If you join mid raid the raidleader will reward you with appropriate DKP for the time you were there, this decision is made entirely by the raidleader who will judge your contribution. If you leave early without telling officers or writing a note when you sign up will receive 0 DKP for the raid

*If a player has not joined a raid for 1 month without a valid reason we consider him as inactive and his DKP will reset to 0.

*The raid leader and DKP officer for a particular raid has the final call for all DKP adjustments made for that event.

*If you feel that there has been a mistake in the DKP you were awarded for a raid then please contact the raidleader for that raid.

General raiding rules

*Be on time!

*Being late might lose you your slot. There is a DKP penalty for no shows.

*Invites will start approximately 30 mins before the raid start, 25 mins later if the raid is not full the raid leader will start invites from the queued list. The goal is to have a full raid ready to go on time.

*There will always be a few officers in charge of the raid, they will handle the ML system or DKP. Others may be the main assist so pay close attention to your class channels.

*Do not spam the Raid channel in case the instance leader needs to inform the raid of strategies or similar, try to talk in /s for spam.

*Class channels - Each class has its own chat channel for use within an instance. For example "SCrogues", "SCdruids". We also have the special channel "SCheal" for healing rotas. Ask a member of your class what the current class channel is as these will be critical in instances to discuss class specific roles.

*Try to not go AFK too much during our raids. Try to time your AFK's during breaks between pulls, and after corpse runs (of course, nature calls... there's not a lot you can do about it. But try to be prepared as much as you can Laughing )

Raid Sign up rules

*Officers update the "Planned Raids" on a regular basis with new raids so keep an eye on it.

Addons

*ORA2, Bigwigs/Deadly Boss Mod, Omen are currently the mandatory addons. Link to where to download these addons can all be found in the "Addons" forum.

Reagents, Healing or similar

*We expect you to have 375 first aid skill.

*Do not come to a raid unprepared, make sure you have 20-40 bandages, some healing and mana pots. Mages and other classes make sure you have reagents to buff the raid.

*All healers should join the channel "/SCheal" before the instance begins.

Ventrilo

**Essential**No Vent no raid for you.

We use Vent when we do raids to discuss tactics and other things, you'll find a link where to download ventrilo in the "UI and Add0ns" forum.

You do not have to talk but we want to see every member participating in the raid logged on to our Vent server as all tactics and other important information are discussed through Vent.

*Vent server login information can be found in the guild information tab in game.

Potions

*You should come prepared to all raids with any pots/oils/food buffs that you need. This is no rule, but we do appreciate everyone to come fully prepared for a raid, at least when it's progress raids.

Looting

*We use a DKP system, study the rules. Make sure you know your DKP total for the instance before you enter.

*The Masterlooter will pick up all BoE stuff that noone needs to our guildbank. It will be good it someway for our guild.

Officers has thefinal word

*In all loot handling that happens in this guild officers and GMs have a final word in case we feel something is wrong. Bids can be stopped at any time and players may be denied an item if we feel that it's blatant greed - players should use common sense and not bid on a item that gives +1 dps but looks "kewl" for example when it might be of greater use to another player.

*Officers word is the final, end of - if you feel that you're being mistreated please contact another officer.

Looting/Skinning

*Skinners, Miners and Herbalists are assigned in an instance. If in doubt, ask.

Repair Bills

You pay your own way Wink

Tactics/Info

*As a member of Serial Chillers you are obligated to keep an eye on our forum to make sure you are update to date on our tactics or other information regarding raids.

*Raidleaders will do a basic runthrough of tactics before a boss, but we appreciate if you have read the tactics, and are aware of what to do.

Builds

We expect people to know what the best build for PvE is, and be prepared to spec for it (this goes mainly for progress raids). In Karazhan, we can consider Subtlety specced Rogues, Arms Warriors etc. But if we are going for a first kill, players with optimal PvE specc will be taken instead of PvP specs and shizzle.
